I once talked with a woman that spends most of her time at hospice services out in west texas. Perhaps, she is making it up, but, she says that she generally feels and helps them. (her brother died of cancer when she was growing up). She says she received huge gifts just for the fact that she would stay with a patient for extended time holding their hand (L1,etc) and talking with them. I guess, if you are on your death bed, and family rarely visits, then you are really appreciative to these girls.
