Still, I've got to wonder about someone who speaks Spanish but spells "Colombian" wrong.

And going to Cuba from Southern California is very easy. There's a charter flight from TJ that goes there direct, just a short stop over in Monterrey. You don't have to change your dollars unless you want to buy things that are available only on the peso market (e.g., a farmers' market, etc.) If you have friends there, it's very easy to convert currency, and nobody's going to rip you off unless you're a complete idiot. And the best thing about Cuba is that it's a sexually open society and it's very easy to hook up with women who are not pros. Sure, they might be looking for gifts, because you're a rich foreinger, but there's no quid pro quo. The ammendities in Cuba are as good as you want to spend, at least in La Habana. True, tourist creature comforts there are more expensive than in the rest of Latin America, but you can always find a casa particular that is generally comfortable, for about $10 or $15 a day. They won't have air conditioning, but in Cuba it's not all the necessary much of the year. The illegality of going to Cuba is easily ignored if you enter the U.S. at the TJ border. You don't even have to show a passport (just California ID). Most of all, Cuba's traditional culture is probably more intact than any other Latin American country; the music is fantastic, and the women really know how to dance.

And getting to TJ from LA is a lot cheaper than flying to Costa Rica.

As far as TJ goes... The mongering scene is not great...but decent mongering can be had if you know the ropes. That is strictly a comparison internationally speaking. I'd reccomend Costa Rica for the following reasons:

Cheaper to get there (and a far shorter flight) than Asia or South America. I have never paid more than $350 for a RT ticket from LA.

It is as easy as TJ to locate quality WG. The women are actually hotter than TJ and you have gorgeous women from all over Latin America (Columbian, Panamanian, Costa Rican, Nicaraguan, Dominican, even a few Brazilian and Cuban chicas) It is perfectly legal and very public. Prices range from $200 (for a Playboy magazine-quality hottie) to $7 (for a very low budget quickie at a seedy brothel). I tend to get 2-3 hour dates with hotties (8-9s) for about $100 in my own hotel room.

Plus, you don't need to speak Spanish (though it is a big plus, trust me)

Cuba has super hot chicks but is a big pain in the ass - first it is illegal to go there, second it is a bitch getting in (first a flight to Cancun then another flight to Havana which often requires staying in Cancun overnight), converting US dollars to convertible pesos without getting robbed blind, the lack of basic resources like being in a time warp to the 1950s (reliable electricity, phones, internet, cell phones, ATMs) and the country lacks creature comforts that make a vacation a true vacation (reliable air conditioning, hot water, a varied selection of good restaurants).

Rio is heaven- but heaven has a price eforum.xxx. It is expensive as hell to go to Rio and the quality girls there are expensive. Plus, the place is a big hustle.

Tijuana is not too good for mongering. THe Mexican Chicas are total professional BITCHES. They will give you 15 minutes for $25 to $40, plus $10 room charge, $4 tissue charge, $5 condom charge.

Whereas in Cuba the cops will not rob you because they are scared of Fidel Castro. If a Cuban whore robs you then you can go to a CUban cop and cause this bitch a lot of problems.

Plus the pussy is good in CUba and if the bitch tries to be a bitch then you just either do not pay her or only pay her what she deserves to be paid.
