MARTIN COUNTY — A Port St. Lucie massage therapist is accused of inappropriately touching two women during massages at the Pink Cottage of Jensen Day Spa & Beautique.
Joseph Correia, 50, of the 6000 block of Northwest Gorgas Court in Port St. Lucie was charged with sexual battery Tuesday.

Sheriff's deputies said on March 2, a woman said she was inappropriately touched by Correia while she was getting a massage.
The woman told deputies she reported Correia days later because she was shocked by his actions.
On July 6, another woman reported to sheriff's deputies she was getting a massage from Correia when he touched her in an inappropriate way. .
The woman told deputies she never gave Correia permission to touch her in that way and when she told him it made her uncomfortable, he stopped and continued to massage her appropriately.
The woman said after the massage was over she paid her bill and then told a friend about what happened, records show. Later in July, the woman and her friend spoke with the owner of the spa, Sandra Otero, and told her what happened, deputies said.
Otero told deputies she had not received a complaint about Correia before, but deputies told her they had investigated Correia previously for a similar act, records show.
Correia was taken to the Martin County Jail and his bail was set at $20,000. He was released Wednesday.
