You're not short on acupuncturists in Reading!
One of Europe's main colleges is there (The College of Integrated Chinese Medicine) which has a student clinic (lower cost) or a plethora of experienced practitioners.

Alternatively type your postcode into the [link=http://www.acupuncture.org.uk/]British Acupuncture Council[/link] website's "Find a Practitioner" section for someone nearest you.

Has anybody on here had acupuncture done, can they treat more than one "problem" at once?

Yes absolutely! There's really no limit to how many things can be treated together.

Often seemingly different problems have the same cause anyway.

All holistic medicines treat the whole of you, not just a single symptom. Whilst with acupuncture we may be focusing on your response around specific symptoms, you often also experience improvements in other areas as well, such as improved sleep, energy levels, feeling better in your self etc..

Just out of curiosity - what did you think acupuncture treated?

As an acupuncturist myself, I am often surprised by people's expectations.
For example, it is fairly common for people to be surprised that acupuncture can treat, say, common colds or breech babies or depression; but less surprising that it can treat an ache or pain.

The other day I was talking to a person enquiring who was really amazed that acupunture can treat pain from muscle spasms - I thought everyone knew that!!

I hope you don't mind me asking, but I'd love to know what folks think acupuncture treats??
