It doesn't defeat it entirely because the recommendation line is the money line anyway and the contact info is good.

Less opportunity to get targeted by harassing PMs and thread responses if I leave the ROS out.

I've grown sick of the bullshit that comes with trying to provide information but since I still benefit from the reviews of others, I don't want to withdraw completely.

My PA credit doesn't expire until 2022 and I'm open to helping a brother out in a PM session. I don't need the PA credit.

Well, I am truly sorry to hear this.

I am hearing things like this more and more. What BS. One of the things I have enjoyed most about this site (and the old one) was that in general, people were pretty appreciative and tolerant. At least in the Upstate NY section. But if people like you are getting harassed to this extreme (and I know you aren't the only one), then I find that very disturbing.

From time to time, I read things here that bother me or offend me. But unless it is coming from a total jerk, I keep my damn mouth shut (usually) because I get WAAAY more good stuff from this site than bad. And on a more personal note, I do not recall, NB, that I ever read anything from you that made me want to respond in a negative way. And the good things I have gotten from you have been invaluable.

I'd like to say "Don't let the bastards get you down!" - but I know that is simplistic and that you have your good reasons for feeling the way you do.

Sorry to hijack your thread (AGAIN!).

The wind stirred the fine snow, scattering it wildly before me as I turned my car into the parking lot. It was as if the remains of a V-Day ticker tape parade had been left to bejewel and to provide pale cover to the frozen asphalt.
