This discussion on shilling has gone off the rails. The message quoted here is understandable, shot and to the point, seems reasonable:
But it's also fucking wrong.

Whenever there's a discussion on shilling we see fingers pointed at the same few people. It used to be Dollar Bill, the grouchy, pompous, but entertaining lover of KMP girls, ghetto, and trannies. Whilst I didn't share his taste his writing was consistently entertaining. Regardless of his motives, his reviews were on target.
Some people seem to think "shills get paid for reviews, so they must be biased, so their reviews must be less credible or possibly misleading..." but where is the evidence of that? It's like saying "I don't drink heineken because it's advertised, do it must be shit" As others have said, Canti has shone a light on the beauties of SOS, on the MILFs of Fuji, and the J-girls of E4A.

I've seen alk three and can confirm he'd correct, these ones do stand apart from the crowd. In their own way all three are mavericks, doing business their own way and doing a great job.

The best reviewers on massageplanet include people labelled as shills. For the people who think "that's not fair" please grow up and open your eyes.

If I read even only two reviews, I would assume that the higher price was the expected price. If I read ten reviews and two of them were at the higher price, I would assume that that was the expected price.

The job of the shill is just like any other businesses -- advertisng the best services for the lowest possible price. If a reviewer states that he gotten BBBJ and 2 pops for 300 even though he only pay 200 in exchange for a review, it is shilling but this isn't really effective shilling, is it? For shilling to work, he will need to exaggerate the services he received or lied about the price he paid -- the 2 things that can be easily verified by followup reviews.
