Find someone who is well recommended and they will explain what they are going to do.
To supplement the acupuncture, cut down on dairy products or even cut them out for a few weeks, as they aggravate the sinuses. Re-introduce one item at a time over a number of weeks, in order to find out if you start sneezing or reacting to that particular food. Eat a healthy well balanced diet, with lots of fresh fruit, grains, veg and protein, etc.
Initially I was in terrible pain from my sinuses, in the past I had taken many courses of antibiotics, but have since read/learnt that they dont have much effect.
It is not a quick process and quite painful at times, but the mucus has built up over a period of time, so it wont disappear overnight. It is a wonderful feeling when you can actually breath through your nose and realise that you are not in pain and I saved a fortune by not buying tissues or anti-hystermines!
Initially I think I had five treatments, the following year in spring I had 4 sessions, then about three years later I had 2 treatments and I haven't been back again.
But I have learn't what to eat and what not to eat. Keep a food diary, when I started sneezing and/or had a runny nose, I looked back to around 7 to 8 hours ago, to find out what I ate. This give me an indication of what to avoid.
Now I find I can eat everything but in moderation.
