Spa Isis Sold

I do know that Spa Isis is a no review place. This is not a review.

Went for a "massage" today and found out the Spa Isis has been sold.
My wonderful and beautiful Masseuse told me that the former owner, I can't remember her name, sold it 2 weeks ago to a gentleman from Toronto.
She said he's a nice guy, but wanting to change a few things like open later (11pm), open Sundays, and put the girls pictures on the website.
I asked if some of the girls have left since the old owner left. She said no, that they are sticking around to see how it goes.
IMHO, I think opening late for Isis is not the best idea. I like that it closes early. The fact that they stick with a more up-scale clientele and not the late night crowd which could cause a few more problems. Also Putting pics on the website is great for marketing, she mention the girls don't want their pics up. I think it's a sense of security that they are not "out there" so to speak.
Anyways, I wish good luck to the old owner. She was always very welcoming and pleasant to deal with.
I also wish good luck to the new owner. I hope he can continue the sueforum.xxx service I get every time I go there.

mmmmm??? this makes me wonder on what is coming... ISIS is sold, so is FUGACE on the south-shore since a month (another salon with a NRP).
Both places were longtimers. Both new managements having similar ideas too. Longer hours, opening on Sundays, girls pictures on the website (new website www.lefugace.com).
Personnaly, if I was buying a resto let say a Chicken Bar-B-Q place that has its own "secret recipe" , I will not (at least in the short term) change to a Fried Chicken counter. The risk of loosing the existing clientele is too high (unless there was no business and the price paid was extremely low... which I suspect is not the case for these 2 legendaries and respected places).
Questionning also due to recent judgments in Courts. Really strange, isn't, Watson?

Gentlemen,

I went to Isis 2 weeks ago and Mila (previous owner) told me she was retiring to a southern sunny location.
I would like to give a tribute to Mila who served our community for 8 years.
She started her "career" as a masseuse and eventually became the famous "madame" at Isis.
Her charm, professionalism and wise advices were always very much appreciated.
I would like to wish lovely Mila a peacefull retirement and an enjoyable life under the sun.
I will miss you deeply

I met Doug, really nice guy, however when he came to open the door i made a split second decision to stay (my initial thought was turn around and walk away) it's just that i haven't seen many men in MP...Other than Alex at 2214.
the service so far has been almost the same...except Mila isn't there to give me the rooms i prefer and help me in my choices, but that will probably come with Doug learning the trade.

To be honest Roger 10-4 I think Peaple in this business just move on after so many years, for some people it might look like an easy business, but don't forget your dealing with many woman, and a great turn over, and many strange customers and demands, I also found out that the owners of Adagio sold the one on St Zotique, the new owner said that they have other businesses and will hold on to the one on St Catherine for a while longer, aparently Adagio on St Catherine is sentimental to them, and its been open for about 8 or 9 yrs know, knowing that these pionneers of the massage industry are moving on to theire retirements, makes me wonder if the new generation will be able to give the same elegant and great service and listen to the demands of theire customers, unfortunatly I think not, I just think that they will be serving us fast food, maybe thats one of the reason these pioneers are leaving the business, they don't want to be involved in a fast food service, and we must admit the great generation of masseuses has long been gone the new girls are just money hungry with little class, not many gems out there like there used to be.

eatme, I totally agree with your post (#12). The massage scene has changed a lot and particularly in the last 6-7 years coincidently since reviews boards appeared and girls supporting BBF.

I have been to Isis sicne the change and the new female receptionist (daytime) is very nice and friendly. The new owner did some little cosmetic change that are welcome. The service and price are the same.

If you have been a long time customer of Isis, like me, and talk to the girl and read between the line, you know that Mila is gonna be missed a lot more by the customers then the MP. She could be quite stern with them. The change might even be for the good of us customers. Time will tell.
