If you talking about the mother on the 80's TV show Family Ties, the character's name was Elise Keaton, played by Meridith Baxter Birney. Diane Keaton just recently starred with Jack Nicoleson(sp?) in " As Good As It Gets".

...but I do see the resemblence on who you're talking about...

Now "Mallory Keaton(Justine Bateman)"....smokin!!!!!
