My bet is that either 1. she got overwhelmed with PMs and asked a mod to have the thread removed until she was better prepared to field questions and make appointments or 2. the mod removed the thread because she was deemed to have been advertising on the site (less likely because all she did was inform people she was independent).

I'd go with #1 as well. Hopefully she will let us know soon. It may be better if she went about it more discretely so she isn't overwhelmed as I'm sure she was the first time.
