Studio B - WTF

Man, was I mad tonight.

I had a last appointment of her shift at SB with a lovely MPA. Thanks to the idiot who showed up late, his session ended 20 minutes into overtime. Then, I got the good old "Sorry, but we are closing".

Maybe this MPA is new, but this kind of crap should not happen. The idiot who shows up late is most undeserving of his appointment, whereas the innocent I never got my session (and was stranded in the cold forever).

She did promise me a very good session next time, but this was just the last straw for me at SB.

What if you were 15 minutes late would you expect your favorite MPA not to see you.

Unfortunately, unexpected situations will occur in our hobby, I am sure she will give you a good session next time.

Relax Latino this kind of stuff always happens in these kind of places.......It happened at Bluepearl, Hfh, IT when I visited there....Some of the excuses I got before was your name was not in the appointment book, the girl did not come in today, they for got to take your name down and your stuck with someone else and so on so on...this kind of stuff is not a first time thing............

However, once I calmed down, I may take her up on the session, depending on whether my hormones or my false pride wins the battle. It may be cutting your nose off to spite your face ...

PS I've never been late, so I'm not sure what I'd expect. We all know the general rule, that if yer late you may lose out to a walk in. I'd hope she'd see me, and want to be sure I'm not screwing things up. I'd fully understand if she couldn't, seeing as I was the one who fucked up.

I know shit happens, but I think the only "fair" solution is either that the idiot takes a shortened session or no session is offered at all. After all, the one who f*cks it all up is the one who showed up late.

In fact, I would expect my MPA to tell me - "you are 15-20 minutes late. Sorry... "

Other "unexpected situations" you guys mentioned are human errors which are often hard to lay blame on. My situation, on the other hand, was well within the MPA's control to say no to that idiot.

I had a an appointment with the lovely Jenna of I.T., this was back when she was at Blue Pearl. Anyway,when I got there I was told she had to leave early, but she had left me a note with her apologizing and saying that on my next session the door was free. I was so supprised, she doesn't just sound like a sweatheart, she is a sweatheart.

In her shoes you might do the same. The bird in the hand is worth way more than the bird who called and may not show at all. That's why hotels won't take reservations without credit card info. It protects them from holding a room unsold when offered ready cash.
You're absolutely right, the latecomer's session shouldn't have been allowed to interfere, but had the MPA done that it would be evidence of her extraordinary quality. And she's only ordinary, it would seem. Best bet might have been to play your strong card: being a committed regular (until this experience), and ask for a no door fee next time. Obviously money beats quality with this MPA, so I wouldn't hold much hope for a worthwhile session improvement as compensation. But you know her, it's your call. Ya gotta work with what's offered, changing the world leaves no time for hobbies.

I've been in that situation a couple times at Studio B. Arriving early or just on time and being told that the previous appointment arrived late and I'd have to wait another half hour. It's happened to me twice. In my case I was there early afternoon so I didn't miss out on having a session. I imagine maybe the next appointment after me might have been a bit upset as well.

It's frustrating since I generally arrive early and wait in the car and the cold, bored. I generally agree that if you arrive as much as 15 to 20 min late and there is an appt due in the next several minutes you should be bypassed. What ever the circumstances were that caused you to be late is your fault, not mine or the mp's, so you must suffer.

On the other hand, if there are generally a large incidence of no shows for appintments, the mpa might be inclined to just take the person who is there rather than lose out for a no show.

Two ways to look at it. Still frustrating for those of us who always arrive on time.

I suppose the "idiot" in my situation arrived at like 9:20. If he wanted his session, he should have been asked to wait till 9:30 (or say 9:35) to see whether I, being the next appointment, would show up. If I were a no-show by 9:30 or so, then he could have his session.

I still cannot see why the lovely MPA could not have done that.

Hmm... seems like the common suggestion is that I should have my door fee waived next time. Dunno whether that would happen since the SB/SC owner is "invisible" all the time.

Only time something like this has happened to me, was the girl called in sick (for 1-2 weeks, so I believed it ).

I'm with you revolver: the guy that messes up the schedule is the one that *should* get ditched. I do suppose that if no shows are a big problem, then in the MPA's eyes, a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

I had an appointment with Lisa 2 Fridays ago at 4:30.
When I got there, I was told to that she was still with someone and to come back in 15 mins. I had to come back 3 times before she was available. My time was delayed 45 mins. The worst part is, unlike santa clara where there is a waiting room, I kept getting sent back to my car.

I understand that some sessions can go over. To me, 15 mins. is an acceptable amount of time to wait. 45 mins., though, is quit unprofessional.

It really turned me off. Unfortunately, many of the girls at Studio B really turn me on.

LatinoHeat- Chill out! mistakes happen and it has happened many times to me at various spas. It's part of the business and you getting all mad doesn't help anyone out. Get a grip.

Rocky, you were not there so it is easy for you to say. To have to travel all the way to Scarboro, wait like 20 mins, and to be told "sorry, we are closing" is just unacceptable. I would feel differently if I merely had to wait the 20 mins to get the session. Running overtime is part of the biz and I understand that. But this is very different - it is not a series of sessions running 5 minutes over and domino's effect... it is some idiot showing up 20 minutes late who should never have gotten his session.

By the way, u telling me to get a grip does not help the situation either.

You say that these things happen as part of the business. Well, having a late-show policy is also part of the business and is adopted by more well run MPs around, like HFH, IT or Oasis. There is a difference between an honest mistake and the one I experienced.

Now that their sister location, Santa Clara is open, I will no longer go to Studio B. Studio B has poor accomodations, no waiting room, and is in genral in poor condition.

Letting a latecomer screw up appointments that have been taken and kept may be many things. Things we maybe can understand. But it is NOT business.
I'd actually call it unadulterated, self-interested, money-grubbing. Like the film 'business'* f'rinstance. Business is distinguished from that sort of conduct by it's ordered adherence to mutually accepted principles of commerce.
Better advice for Mr Heat would be to go by the shark's rules if that's who you find you're swimming with. Don't piddle away your precious bodily pleasure time in a frozen parking lot (you'll get a grippe). Get out your own shark teeth, bite off a good deal for next time, and go somewhere else for now.
After your own front door, it very well may be sharks all the way.

*I assume you thought he should ask a film technician for help. I can't see how a valise would be of use, and "hang on" is what the MPA told Mr Heat.

Seems perfectly logical to me, but obviously is not not the mindset of the mpa and/or owner.

I don't think comparing SB to HFH/IT or other MP's where customer satisfaction takes a higher rank is entirely realistic. I only took the plunge and went to SB recently due to all the horror stories about their waiting facilities and set up. While they seem to care about customer satisfaction on some levels, they seem to neglect it on others.

Essentially, most guys will go where the best girls are regardless of other service factors, but only within certain limits.

While I completely understand your feeling and would feel the same way, as Revolver inferred, the "no show" rate at SB is probably fairly high. I don't know all the facts, but unless you were a regular, she may not have expected you to show and rather than take the chance of making no money, she decided to let "the idiot" get his rocks off and leave you to freeze yours, if , in fact, you showed up.

Instinct tells me that if you were in the position of "the idiot", you would have waited to see whether her next client would show, if you knew that there was another appointment booked already. It's not life that isn't fair, it's people.

None of this is an excuse for being treated less fairly, than someone who,
fucked up. They are only rationlisations ...

Anyway, it boils down to ethics and pride. I doubt the "some Korean person", is about to compensate you, so the only compensation may be going for that other session.

In the mean time, I'll be checking Santa Clara ...

Take the offer and have a great session next time.
