Summer solstice

Ive just had a booking for Reflexology but she wants it near the Summer solstice,I did not want to sound stupid by asking her what this meant so can anyone help me out here,what does it mean and when is it?

The Summer Solstice is the day with the longest daylight each year. It is on Monday 21st June.

People with pagan beliefs or who feel connected to the earth or nature regard this as a very important time in the changing of the seasons and the energy of the cycle of the earth. Some people get up to welcome in the dawn on the longest day and then will maybe go somewhere special to watch the sun set on the longest day.
I am sure there are many people on this site who will be able to give you a full explanation.

Star, don't worry about looking stupid, no one knows everything, but being honest about your limits is far more charming than trying to bluff your way through.

Asking your client questions shows your interested in her and keen to learn about her world. Ask her why it's important, it would be a fantastic conversation starter.
