SUNY Ulster offers pregnancy massage workshop from Sept. 29-Oct. 1 - The Daily Freeman

Stone Ridge, NY >> SUNY Ulster’s Department of Continuing and Professional Education is accepting registrations for MotherMassage, a three-day pregnancy professional certification workshop from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1.

Classes are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 29 and Sept. 30 and from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 1.

The course is open to all massage professionals, advanced massage therapy students, childbirth educators, midwives, labor support coaches and doulas. All non-massage professionals must have basic massage skills as a prerequisite to this course.

The cost of the class is $425. A late fee of $75 will be charged for registration within three weeks of the class. The required text is “Prenatal Massage: A Textbook of Pregnancy, Labor, and Postpartum Bodywork (by Elaine Stillerman, Mosby, 2008).” Purchase on line at ElsevierHealth.com and read before the class.
