Toronto and Ottawa Hotels

[Cinnamon Returns]

My flight are all booked for my tour this month to Ontario, I am just in a bind at which hotels to choose!

In Toronto I would like be downtown and have been recommended the The Grand Hotel, Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre Hotel and the Sutton Place.

In Ottawa, NO IDEA!

I do like a jacuzzi suite based hotel room, no key cards required in the elevator, and central to ameneties!

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

As far as jacuzzi suites I can't say as I personally don't use them (sorry) but I can offer a few suggestions as far as what I look for when I'm booking a location.

One King West - Modern rooms, small but have everything in suite incl. laundry, fridge, dishwasher, etc. It's attached to the underground mall so many clients do not have to venture outside to visit, a bonus in the winter. Someone told me they were making a switch to keycard access for the elevator but I was there just a few days ago and this was not the case. Parking is readily available and it's just a few blocks from the highway as well as being at the King subway stop.

Soho Metropolitan - Nice, clean & modern rooms, restaurants, drug store, wine store, parking and laundry all within a block or two. Downtown and Highway access.

Hyatt Regency King West - Newly renovated, great location (just across the street from a shoppers drug mart and many restaurants in the theatre district). Parking, laundry and an LCBO (wine, spirits, etc.) etc. just a couple blocks away. It makes it easy for both you and clients to prepare for anything you may wish for a call. Easy to access from the highway and still just a few stops from the subway.

As far as Ottawa is concerned my favorite hotel is the Minto Suites

Again it's got in suite laundry, wonderful ammenities and is attached to a mall with restaurants, a drug store, a wine store and parking. I find that in the cold winter I don't enjoy running errands outside trying to get the items I need to entertain in.

Other friends of mine have stayed in Les Suites and said it was nice but I personally haven't seen the suites.

Also the Marriot is popular though it doesn't have the in suite laundry that the other two have.
