Why do my Facebook chats stay open?

I use the Facebook app on my iPod, and everytime I open my Facebook on my laptop, all the chats I used in FB mobile are still open, so I manually have to go and delete every individuall chat box Is there a way to prevent this?
 
Is it rlly tht hard to click the x button a couple times?
