Complaints about a neighborhood massage parlor on Lake Boulevard led to the arrest of one for prostitution, officers with the Redding Police Department said.

Police said they received numerous complaints about suspicious activity at Healthful Massage on 630 Lake Blvd., and decided to conduct an undercover operation.

At 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers with Neighborhood Police Unit headed to the business, and an undercover officer made arrangements for a "sex act" in exchange for money, with Fu Ping Yuan, 55, of El Monte.

Officers searched the business and found condoms concealed in a hidden compartment in a nearby office.

Yuan was arrested and booked into Shasta County Jail for prostitution, police said.

She remained in jail this morning in lieu of $500 bail, according to the jail's website, which said she was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct.
