People were pissed at him as it was a time where people wanted to be patriotic and payback. He faced a lot of backlash for that, and Bush’s approval rating was 85% after 9/11 so advertisers started to bail on him. No advertising, then no show.

Kinda ironic as the show’s name is Politically Incorrect and a statement like the 9/11 terrorists are not cowards is very politically incorrect and by being Politically Incorrect, he got cancelled.
