Anyone use flannel sheets all year?

I've got a bit of extra money available now and I really could use new sheets. I'm torn between getting new flannels (which I'm using now and are getting pretty worn) or getting plain cotton sheets which I've always used in the warmer months in the past. I know I wouldn't mind flannels all year but I"m not sure about clients.

Any input?

Acutally I live in Florida, and have been using flannel sheets even on warm days. I have found the ones I have tend to "stay" put better than some of my other sheets, and give a little more comfort to the client on the table. I think the additional "weight" helps.

I also use a blanket and a table warmer even during warm days, cause the AC tends to blow cold on the clients. I've gotten good reactions so far!

I use my plaid flannel sheets all year 'round too. I have a couple pairs which are a lodge print and they're heavier... and I retire those for the summer. But for the most part, I use flannel all year... as well as my table warmer and blanket etc except for the hotest part of summer.
BTW, mamajen, I saw some Woolrich ones on sale @ Target last week on clearance (twin) and they were $12.50. (Half price I think...)
The sales girl who happened to see me looking at them said that she'd bought a pair for her bed and that they'd washed up well. I ended up not getting them because the cupboard I keep my linens in is really already bulging at the seams... LOL I think I inherited my Mom's obsession with sheets and linens...
You could try Kohl's too, the last ones I got were from there and were less than $8/pair (March 2004).
But I haven't really used them yet as I buy them when I see them cheap and store them until I need them.)
What can I say, it gives me a secret little thrill to look inside that cupboard and see all my sheets, towels and blankets folded, rolled and stacked filling up the shelves. :wink:

I also use flannel sheets all year. I think they add to my client's comfort on the table. For my clients who tend to run warm (body-temperature), I just uncover their feet in the summer, and that cools them right down. I also have a shearling cover for both the table and face cradle, which I use under the flannel sheets. The combination is cozy!

I tend to splurge on my sheets. I buy them from LL Bean. They're more expensive, but they are so well-made, they last forever! My current sets have survived 5 years of use and are still going strong.

I use flannels off and on throughout the year and mostly it depends on my clients. Some of them seem to just be cold all the time and appreciate the warmth of the flannels even if it is 90+ degrees outside.

I have a few sets(5) from massagewarehouse and they are not my favorite. I find that they tend to be a bit too tight when I am trying to place the bolster under the legs. I guess I could make fabric bolster covers.

they've re-designed their flannel sets since 7 years ago. the old fitted sheet was a little tight, the face cradle cover was the one-piece kind, and the fuzzy flannel was on one side only.
the new ones are larger- both the flat and fitted, fuzzy flannel on both sides, and the FCC is seamed. they said in the catalog that it is to accommodate those who layer with eggshell or fleece pads (the fitteds and the FCC's), and the flat is larger for more privacy.

Thank you for making me aware of the design change. I have only been purchasing the flannels for two years. I did notice that the first couple of sets from massagewarehouse were different than the newer sets. Maybe those were from before the redesign.
