There are no changes. The only thing is business licensing. Enforcement of existing laws.

In 2014, Bill C-36 made it illegal to purchase sexual services. Not long after that, a judge set the burden of proof for LE fairly high. Your risk of arrest for this hasn't changed. Typically, we're not worth the effort.

National issues regarding sex work have been in limbo for years now, and the courts and parliament have done nothing to clear it up.

So, no law enforcement, the police, have anything to do with the changes in one municipality. Nothing criminal being addressed, totally a civil matter to this point. Its just common sense to avoid Richmond Hill spas for a few weeks. Drive 10 min to Vaughan or Markham and go nut there.

Yeah. Unless you’re reading these boards, how would an unsuspecting customer know unless he’s been told by the spa, and even then would’ve had to have been in the last couple weeks.

I may be wrong and don’t wish to partake in MP drama lol, but I don’t think he has ever said LE is targeting customers.

We understand that bylaw is targeting the spas, that much is clear. But his point stands that given all the attention in EBC lately, it does seem wise to avoid for the time being until things cool off. That said, to each their own, with each person assessing their risk tolerance of course.

Anyone actually go to EBC or RH spas today? I was going to visit but the lady I like at BU was booked for 2 hours and the one I was hoping to see at SL took her scheduled day off.
