so i hit this place up yesterday and it looked nice, 80 at the door, then they told me TS time. got Julie and she was cute. she showered me up. while i was gettin washed, the ts is in the main shower area and a guy walked in to take a shower in plain sight of me, thats a big no no in my book. how would u like it if a guy watched you gettin a TS. so from there on i felt uncomfortable in this place. i dont think they have heat cause after the shower u freeze ur ass off. then to the massage. it was a good massage, but its noisy and leave the door open so you hear everything going on and it messes up the mood. so got to the soft touching part, was good and then the hj she performs well during the part, she breaths and moans in ur ear. to mea clean up service wasnt that great. i probably wont go back, due to the TS excperience and leaving the door open. but if you guys wanna try it, go for it.

Needed a massage and decided to check this place out when I couldn't get ahold of Jodi.

Easy to find with entrance right on the street. Health club like interior with personal lockers. Major kudos for having a supply of robes - rather than the one that is recycled - that actually fully cover us big guys.

Table shower from someone other than the masseuse. It was not stellar - a little too shy around the middle parts.

Julie provided a nice medium massage and took her time with the soft touch before the turn. The rest after the turn was fine too. Julie tried to maintain eye contact and she has a pretty smile. No extras though.

They offer a Steam/Sauna after the massage which is a nice touch if you have the time. I didn't but next time I may. The stand-up shower (all alone) at the end is also a nice touch. Not sure if I would be as comfortable with it if there were other patrons around as it is a communal shower. But that wasn't the case this time.

80 for 60 minutes + 60 for masseuse and 10 for shower girl. I thought that tip was a little light until I read this thread. Good to know that I am not the biggest cheapskate around - just average.

Well needed a good RT so check out this place. Very nice , clean & freindly. Had a nice looking girl in her 20's. Her name was sunny, let me tell u she gave me the best massage i ever had. She really worked my back and legs. after the massage she does the lite touch great. Then the flip,good HJ with a little roaming not to much thou. finish up and go take a shower. donation was 80 with 30 tip not bad for a nice place like this. left feeling great

Not sure if this place is worth the extra just for being clean and classy. I went in the other day but was told all appointments were taken for that and the next day too and only available one was 8pm next day. I declined seeing the rates but wondering what makes it so popular

I don't understand how a common shower is such a problem. someone sewing you naked scares you. being sewn by someone who know you shocks you. let's have a good time and swing your sick when someone walks by, that's the Beatgfe signal for "keep away".

Was there yesterday afternoon and can confirm that this is the cleanest and classiest R&T place I have ever seen. Saw Hannah, ( Do they only have a list of 20 names to choose?) and the massage was excellent but UTC roaming was limited to non strategic parts. In addition to the unusual procedure of both paying upon completion and leaving a tip in an envelope, perhaps so management can take a cut, the common changing room where I saw different customers on the way in and out was somewhat unsettling. Certainly a deal buster for some. i

Checked out Athena the other day. Definitely high end on the layout but had a reasonable door fee of $80/hr, you pay at the end. Went downstairs to get into my massagee gear (spa robe & b-day suit) and met with the cute Latina table shower girl. I was tempted to grab a TS with her but declined after remembering the dark lord Canti had soiled her...a good decision on my part as I will later describe. I was met with Lily, a delicious slender K-Milf with long flowing hair in appearance, but she was a generic KMP attendant...30++ in years, spoke little english, somewhat demure and even had a common KMP name.

I grabbed a shower and typical of this fatman's poor planning, needed to squeeze out some pudgy lemonade...I didn't want to dry off and look for a loo & I was alone in the shower sooo...fellow mongers do not step on the pile of rocks...you have been warned!

Anyhoot, the place is very clean, Lily gave a very good swedish/deep tissue massage for about 40 minutes. She dimmed the lights, grabbed her happy ending tools (lube & wipes) and gave me a solid 5 minutes of soft touch and hair teasing until the flip. The finishing technique was good and she followed the typical AMP script of nip licks, blowing on the lil guy and allowed some UTR (she is NOT trident certified). The moment did get somewhat ruined as during my HE some dude was getting a TS from the Latina and I swore she was wamassageplanetoarding the poor bastard ... I heard the gurgling and of course I laughed. Lily was cluesless to my laughter and I gave up trying to explain why it was funny after about 2 sentences. But she was a tropper and kept going until the mission was accomplished. She cleaned me up gave me another 5 minutes of a front massage and escorted me to the shower (did not leave anything that time).

I got dressed and forgot you tip in the envelope. Pretty good MT spot as they were open at 10AM. Paid 80+ 40.

Went today at lunch hour. Great place for the basics. Clean. Skipped table shower, but shower room was clean, with fresh robes, and stacks of clean towels...washing machine is visible when a certain door is open, and it's running. Rooms are clean, and private, and the partly open door gets shut when there's a good reason to close it. There may be some ymmv stuff here, but probably pretty limited.

Had Michelle who is a sweetie and, to me, very pretty. Above average massage, with just enough teasing through the hard massage to keep me alert and not falling asleep. When she moved to the legs, it got more interesting. Wonderful finish. Close in, some UTC, and just plain friendly although a bit shy, maybe due to lack of English.

If you're just in to R&T as I am, this is the place. You could take your S.O in with you, set her up with a massage upstairs and she'd never guess what was going on downstairs. After my suburban experiences, may never go anywhere else. 80 plus 50

Have to go back because a different monger got a sweet and young korean girl and he was chatting up a storm.

Place is still closed but the lights are on inside.
There was however this young Spanish kid standing right in front canding out business cards for Athena Spa.
Do you think this means that Athena is tring to hint to customers who know the old spot or just taking advantahge of a situation for walk-INS of W38.

My second trip to Athena. I had Tina. She gave me the best Swedish massage ever. Nice, clean place, although there is a common locker area and I had to get dressed at the same time as another customer. Weird. .80 for one hour.

I'll make this a quick one due to my time constraints.

I've been going to Athena since they opened and were strictly legit. I had $15 coupons I was given by management and that made it worth while. I broke thru and received a great finish on my 2nd visit, and that was when they were legit. If you have been to NY Health SPA on 37th street, Athena will fit the bill. They have a separate floor for men and women and it's a nice clean and well kept establishment.
Men are escorted downstairs to a public locker area, shower, steam and sauna. Rooms are clean and private, they will leave the door ajar but again, think NY Health Spa. Very good massages and of course the finishing touches can be had. I'm not going into details regarding brick and mortar places because it hurts too many but I do recommend Tina.
