Dorval Sex Murder

Heard on CJAD this morning with Andrew Carter that an 18 year old prostitute/masseuse had been murdered, possibly by another woman (a coworker? her madam?) in an apartment building on Racine Avenue in Dorval, a building that used to be occupied by lots of AC stewardesses back in the day. Has anyone been for services in that building?

I think that there was an incall in that area from the same people that had a location downtown as well. they mostly offered to massage my wallet.

The murder was on the 3rd floor on 455 Racine. So those that visited Amy, might give us more info, or those that visited an incall place at that adress, if there was any. Anyway people just talk and what better excuse to sell a news than a very young prostitute beaten to death. In no place is written that she was a masseuse.

I heard the girl was 18, and the suspect, who's still at large, apparently has a dark complexion and stands around 1m83 ( around 6'2-3'', I guess)

It was the on-air discussion/commentary of Andrew Carter, not the body of the newscast, that mentioned prostitute as victim.

The suspect was described on 940News as being "a light skinned black male"....and...."heavily tattooed". How come that latter description when it comes to an unsavoury perp doesn't surprise me in the least? Since the description was given by Margoe Edwards (Too Tall's wife) on her newscast, and she is black, we cannot say that the skin tone adjective is racist.

I haven't heard or read any details that indicates to me that the victim was an innocent bystander or was not involved in some nefarious sideline. "Breaking up a fight" (amongst people that all knew each other)...calling 911 and then abruptly saying "nothing happening" and hanging up...lies about a "robbery gone bad"...all of this in a building known for having a clientele that has gone downhill in recent years...I won't be shedding any tears for any of them.

I tend to believe the news and public affairs shows of pros, on both CJAD and CINW, more than I do the amateur hour of Laurie & Olga, which is a disgrace for a city that tries to act like it's still important, but which has about as much impact on the national media scene as Des Moines.

I certainly dont give a shit what you think of Andrew Carter on anyone in the media, nor do I expect to read anywhere that the victim was an innocent bystander....nobody here is saying she was. None of us know any of the details, so lets not speculate on what the victim's occupation was. And to be honest, Mellonhead, I really dont care if she was a prostitute or not....she died by being beaten to death........you might not shed any tears for her, but i am struggling to accept that she deserved to die at the hands of someone who we now know is a convicted drug dealer. I dont hang around with the best people in the world either....doesnt mean I should die because of it....she was 18, for Christ's sake!!!...just a baby.....I have an 8 yr old daughter and you know what??? an 18 yr old girl (like an 18 yr old guy) is pretty fucking naive and immature no matter who she hangs around with or what she's been through.

And lets not discuss the media....not that I care one way or the other, but go to another board if you wanna talk about that
