We had new flooring and some other things done prior to moving in, and contractors move very slowly here - but so does everyone, and that is a positive to me.
We also got married! We've been a couple for a looooong time, but never bothered doing the legal thing. While it's more than possible to immigrate to the EU as a common-law couple, even in 2024, being legally married does make things go much smoother. So, just before leaving Canada, we got hitched. Finally, lol.
