Is it just hard plastic, or does it have a skin like feel.

I have no experience with that particular product. Hopefully someone here has and will respond.

I have had a massage by a therapist using one of these, Thumbsaver and I would have never known she was using a tool if she hadn't told me afterwards.

I have it and I like it. It feels like plastic to me, but I don't think the person on the receiving end can really tell - if that's what you're asking - ? IMO, it very closely mimicks the thumb and contours to it nicely - easy to hold and use. I give it a "thumbs up" - pun intended!

This is the first time I have ever posted anything on a blog. I am still learning all the web tools to communicate with.
My wife and I created the Therapist Thumb about 5 years ago. I made only one for her. Long story short- it took off on it's own. I don't want abuse this blog as any kind of commercial,but I want to at least answer any questions you may have about why and how it is used.
Ask anything you like.

Would like to order the thumb saver but when went to massage warehouse the $29.00 tool turned into a $41.00 order with shipping and tax :shocked: Just can't justify that. I've order thumbsavers and the shipping and service was excellent and reasonably priced. I'm will to pay $30.00 not $41.00

I can not dictate what other companies charge for shipping.$ 10.00 seems a bit excessive. We charge $3.50 to cover the cost of shipping and the cost of the packaging the Therapist's Thumb. No tax is charged unless you live in our state ( TN ). Our web site gives more info if you want it at http://www.bodyniche.com. Also be careful of pirated Therapist Thumbs. Some companies are selling a knock off made in China.It looks the same and they even call it the therapists thumb but it is unfinished and can scratch your client.Until our legal battle is finished beware of fakes.

One question, why is it that the ones on your site are marbled and the ones on massagewarehouse.com are solid? Are they yours, or one of those copycats you were talking about?

Has anyone used the Therapist Thumb?

I bought mine direct and mine are a solid color. I imagine since they are made by an artist, he flexes his artistic muscle from time to time.

I also love my Therapist Thumb tools. They will save my thumbs for sure! I don't even tell most clients I am using them, but then I don't use them on all of my clients.

The Therapist's Thumb at Massage Warehouse is our product made in the USA.It is a plastic injection process that produces the tool in a solid color only.The plastic we chose is extremely durable and chemical resistant.Unfortunately it can only be made in a solid color. The Therapist's Thumbs on our web site I make personally.I have a process involving a marine grade casting resin and handmade rubber molds to produce the more "artistic" models currently only available on our site or at a few massage schools.More models and variations of the tool will be coming soon.We also have just finished filming an instructional video and are in the editing process. I have been using the thumb for about a month now. I find it useful when I need to go deep like it very much. Will definately buy the DVD when it comes out.

Use the Therapists thumb on my client yesterday, she kept commenting how smooth it felt. Big thumbs up for an excellent product that I will continue to use. Also they are a work of art and beauty when you look at them

I use both of mine as needed. If I take good care of them, they'll last me a lifetime of regular use. Kinda hard to discern subtle tissue changes through plastic, so I stick with the organic ones I was born with.
