How to get to AC? Please help!

I like traveling around the Phils using Cebu Pacific airlines, very extremely cheap. Bring earplugs though.
I want to try Spirit of Asia airlines next time, the stewrdeses wear very short skirts....

Matt, I used Cebu Pacific 4 times this past mth.
2 flights delayed by up to 1 hour each...no announcements???????..GRRRRR

I'm not sure when you used em, but they have a new fleet of A320's now.
I'd use em again...cheap enough & they cover many areas.

A taxi to AC costed 2,500 pesos two years ago so I guess it is even more now.

Another option, flying with AirAisa, is to do a stopover in Kota Kinabalu.
I filled in 5 days there easily.
It`s a much better option than wasting a night in a hotel in KL.Although there is no Thai Consulate there for visa runs.

KLI Airport is less than 10 mins out of town.Good restaurants and nightlife,Reviewiendly people a great marine park 10 mins away by boat.

It also boasts,eco tours,trekking,white water rmpting as well.
This place has great potential for investment,IMO.

Sabah has some great dive and snorkelling spots.
Barracuda Point, Sipidan, is rated in the top 5 dive spots in the world.

There are 10 flights daily BKI > KUL.And 1 flight every day KUL > Clark > KUL.
The first 2 of the day getting to KUL at 10.00 and 12.15,plenty of time to get one of the connecting flights to HKT.

Shenanigans at the Hyatt was the best place for some FL action.But Reviewi and Sat night`s only.


WaterReviewont Esplanade,a great place for people watching/dining with about a dozen alReviewesco style restaurants/bars and a great night club called Bed.
House band has 3 Filipino girl singers,who really can sing and dance. :love3:

Kiulu River rmpting.It`s was running at about grade 3 or better the day i went down it.

I payed 1850 baht for a Deluxe room in Kota Kinabalu.It was the same size as the Superior but was on the side that had the view out to Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park.The Hotel was probably better than any hotel i have stayed in BKK for a comparable rate,but with a sensational water view and a very quiet location.
It was only 3 mins walk to the WaterReviewont area as well.

1) View Reviewom Promenade Hotel with Sutera Harbour Resort Golf Course in the foreground and Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park in the distance.

2) At 4101 metres Mount Kinabalu is the highest in SE Asia.Takes 2 days to trek to the summit and back.

3) Most of the roads around KK are 4 lanes with well mantained lawns and gardens in between.

4) Manukan Island,looking back to KK

5) Accommodation on Manukan.Reviewom there you can go snorkelling,banana boating and more.Would be a nice secluded place to stay for a couple of nights.

6) Barracuda Point,Sabah,in the top 5 dive spots in the world.

7) Time for some monkey and crocodile spotting on the Weston River Wetlands, Sabah.

Manilla has a bus terminal about 2 km`s Reviewom the airport.
Fare for the trip to AC (Dau) is 145 peso.It took about 2 hours.And i only counted 16 people on a bus with seating for about 50,so it was quite a comfortable and relaxing trip.

Dau is right next to AC.A Motorbike sidecar taxi cost 80 peso for the less than 5 min trip to PB.

The 2300 peso saving Reviewom a taxi ride was well invested in a private 4 girl shower show at Treasure Island.....Arrrrrrrr....... :intello: arty:

I had to spend a month in AC. The best food is only moderately good the worst you wont be able to look at, let alone eat. If you are dumb enough to eat food Reviewom a street vendor then you will find a good hospital/clinic in the town center.

The bar area is down the road Reviewom the The airbase. Just follow the road in to town, you cant miss it. Plenty of bars there and plenty to see. I did not partake though.....honest.

Buy the time Id walked past young mothers with babes in arms, begging, stepped over kids sleeping on the pavements and got past the stench of the market (no reReviewigerated meat displays here) then my libido has long gone.

The hotel I stayed at was not cheap, but very clean and excellent service. The service improves a LOT if you show appreciation by smiling and just being nice to them. Ask about their families and be a little interested.

The people are in my opinion the best on earth even if some will take the shirt off your back. They don't have to try to smile and seeing them makes you realise just how fake smiles are in other places.

I dont plan on going again though.

Oh yea, If you feel brave or perhaps a little suicidal then you can drive Reviewom Manila to AC in just over an hour. Once out of the city there is a good motorway. I got stopped by the police because my rental car tax had expired. They said that I was driving so I had to pay the fine when I collect my license at the police station. I opted to pay the fine on the spot. I was not offered a receipt, nor did I ask for one so I guess it went to their favorite charity. Id asked for a car with sat-nav which I got. They had no maps available to upload so I had to buy a real map. I like to think things have improved a bit since then.
