I hate waiting in the room!

Honestly I don't think I could enjoy this hobby when I am running a tight schedule. (middle of a work day or before an appointment) I like to make an evening out of it and go to a strip club afte;r So if I am kept waiting it just means less time at the strip club. Sorry to let you down TG but I do "hang in there." Recently I had a session with one of my favorites start 50 minutes late. It turns out the receptionist booked her appointments one right after the other. Since she refuses to rush customers out the door(first time or regular), by the time she got to me she was really late. I still had a great session with her and I appreciated that she didn't rush me out the door. No I don't complain to her about it, but every now and then she will give me a little something extra to show her appreciation. I give her a little and she gives me alot.

If you have your cell phone you can call the front desk after about 10 minutes and ask what the hold up is. Sometimes they'll knock some money off the door fee...

The best in the biz are tightly booked at times and don`t short change people for time. If they are overbooked for a few minutes its a hard to catch up.

The crappier the attendant the less likely you will have these waiting issues... so its a no win situation in a way.

I definitely concur. In the past, I have actually dropped my cell and my wallet before. Those were very anxious moments as you all can imagine.

Well that`s why I am sort of like you in your post above. I don`t generally go in a situation where a wait of 10-15 minutes is an issue - if I have to wait a bit to see one of my favourites I dont let it anger me or stress me.

When I've been told at reception that the wait will be 15 or 20 minutes, I have left, believing that it will probably be a 30 minute wait. It's very disrespectful, especially if they've asked us to confirm and gave no indication that there would be along wait. I like the idea of calling from the room with my cell - I'll try that next time I've been waiting after showering more than 5 minutes.

This is an interesting thread. The other day, I booked an appointment to see my doctor. I was told it would be his first appointment for the day. It was for 8:45 AM. I sat in the waiting area for 30 minutes before the doctor walked into the office at 9:15 AM. I am thinking " what the f..... "
So waiting for my fav MPA ain't so bad folks .....

Depending on where I'm headed, I may or may not empty my pockets. If I know the place, and know that the showers are in the room, I have no problem leaving everything in my pockets. If I know the shower is in another room, then I'm careful about what I bring in with me. If I don't kno wthe place at all, I usually leave the cell and wallet in the car, and just bring the cash I anticipate needing.

It's not a matter of being penalized. The majority of the workforce works some variation of the typical 9-5 job. Of course there are exceptions. But just as restaurants sometimes have lunch hour guarantees of how fast the food will be served, it would be beneficial for a spa to recognize that many men are visiting during their lunch hours and have some parameters established during those hours.

It's not dumb, it's the opposite, it's basic intelligence. It's why many businesses have already recognized this. During the lunch hours, stores often have more staff at checkouts, Costco has the food samples, as I said, restaurants have lunch hour timelines guaranteeing food delivery time, etc. Are they punishing you, even though the prices are the same?

You do have a good point about the lunch time visits. MPs could be mindful of that and be honest about how long you will have to wait to see your chosen MPA.

Funny you should mention waiting for the doctor........
I must because of a medical reason have a pint of blood drained every month, A few months ago I changed what hospital I was having it done at, first two appointments I waited 20 minutes past my time, got up and left, the nurses are saying "you can't do that, you will get the bill, you have an appointment"..........WELL TOO BAD!!!! I have a appointment also and now I am running late,,,BYE!!!!!!!!!!
Policy at the hospital has now changed and the nurse takes the blood, last appointment she was there waiting for me...

You can't really blame them for that. they don't want large blocks of time to go unused. I really don't mind waiting I will not visit an MP if I have a busy schedule. I would rather savour the experience. When I have to wait the anticipation builds. that's part of the experience.

When I was in Edmonton a couple of years ago, I visited a parlour a couple of times. The MPs there are really more like brothels... FS is widely available etc.

Anyway.. there's still a wait, but they provided a couple of men's magazines to help pass the time. Around here, apart from it just being rude to make a customer wait, it's bloody boring. At least put a couple of magazines in the room.

And that's part of the issue. I don't like to wait, and would prefer to be given an honest time before the girl will be ready. Too often they won't tell you it will be another 15 or 20 mins, and that is sometimes enough to affect the rest of your schedule.

As for the comparison to the doctor's visit, the difference is that usually you need to see your doctor, you don't have much choice to visit another, and you are not paying out of your pocket for the visit.

For the MPA, you have a vast selection available, it is a choice not a need (!?)and there are other attendants that will appreciate your hard earned cash.
