The area near Oasis is becoming furtile ground...or maybe we gringos are just venturing over there more recently.

There has been recent discussion of the place near "La Favorita" restaurant (limited talent and just raised prices to 12 mil/hour) and the one caddie corner to the back side of the Torre Mercedes building (with jacuzi and excellent talent).

Now a friend of mine has discovered another one. I don't have a precise direction yet, but should have it soon. It is on the avenida that runs parallel to Paseo Colon, just one block on the opposite side of Paseo Colon from Oasis. Slightly more toward the park from Funrunners. Large white house with black gates. My friend says the talent is excellent and atmospere is somewhat like Oasis. I forget exact pricing, but somewhere around 12 mil/hour.

I'll post when I get something more definite. If somebody out there already has info, please share.

Could someone post a For Dummies version of directions with specific landmarks?

The only massage parlor I could find near Torre Mercedes is VIP.

Hey Bookie,

I haven't been there, but I drove by with a Tica who used to work there and she pointed it out. Here's my version:

You're on Paseo Colon and you turn at the light down the road that goes by the side of the Torre Mercedes building. (It passes on the side closer to Sabana rather than the side closer to downtown.)

You go to the end of that block and come to the first intersection. Torre Mercedes is on your right. The MP is caddie corner to the Torre Mercedes. IOW, cross the intersection and go into the first building on your left...on the corner. I think there is only one door...but I'm not sure. I've got a friend who has been there and I'll see him tomorrow. I'll ask if he can give more specifics.

I had the good forture to visit Lucita at Oasis on Thanksgiving 10k colones. WOW. On my way in at 10AM I was stopped on the street by a local and told I could get a good masaje around the corner. is the name of the Chinese restaurant next door. The MP is named Veronica. Facilities are basic. Common bath (clean), massage table or the top can be moved onto the floor. Stay away from Wendy, the nica. I don't want her spoiled.
