Hard for me to tell. From my own experience, I haven't seen much of a difference. But then again, I only see a limited number of clients a week, and I've always been refusing quite a few clients because of my limited availability.

So, in terms of the money I take home, no difference for me.

But I have been indy only for a short period of time, and I'm not sure how many clients the agencies I worked with were turning down when I was working with them.

I guess it's easier for an agency to see this kind of pattern, or for an indy who has been working for a longer time than I have.
