spy holes in doors to monitor what goes on in the massage room

Went to Maple Spa on Morris Drive Burlington today. The door to the massage room had 4"x4" glass panel for viewing into the room. When I saw this I wanted to leave but I had already paid the money. The massage by Sophie wasn't much good either. So I wont be going back to this place.
Are there many places using viewing panels in doors to monitor what goes on in the massage room?

I'm sure it's bylaw driven, but in some places I've been to in days gone by that had such windows by there was a usually a conveniently placed coathook just above it.

As others have pointed out, typically spyholes are by-law driven.

Even then, at many spas, the receptionists only look in to see if a session is wrapping up.
IE> time is over, is the client getting dressed, showered etc?

The ONLY spa I know of where the manager has a reputation for looking in during a session is UTOPIA. He's brought the massageplanet.net backlash on himself

Have you ever been to the VIP at CB? There is no peephole because there is no door or wall for that matter . So, everybody is watching you. On the other hand it is so dark that you can only see shadows, if that.
