Let's review what's available on Sunday in SJO.

MP's: Zona Blue for sure. New Fantasy and Europa 2000 (reportedly). No Oasis or local tico places. The place along the tracks in the neighborhood of Tin Jo, recently posted as open Sunday, is not.

Pickup places: Blue Marlin and nearby bars.

Bars and strip clubs (not my thing)?

Other brothels and pensiones?

No street scene at any time. (That's the point of legalizing prostitution.)

Please amend or add to this list what you know from recent personal experience.

Eros, across the street from Idem, used to be open on Sundays. A couple of years back, it recieved less than stellar reviews, so I never gave it much thought. Maybe someone who has more recent knowledge of this place will share their experience.

Eros is open Sundays till midnite. It is a massage place kinda/sorta like 747 or cha cha cha. Nothing fancy, but there is usually a decent girl there. Worth the 500 colone taxi ride to find out. Prices are a little steep compared to most. If I remember, same as Idem (18000) but Idem is well worth that money. eros--maybe.

I have found nice prospects at good prices at the Blue Marlin late Sundays mornings a few times.There are several tico bars open for night time action including Arcadas,Molino Rojo and VIP's 1.Not sure about Bar Monoco.rbc100

Sundays...

Eros will often close at 7:00 or 8:00 now on Sundays if there hasn't been any traffic.

Europa 2000 is opened until 6:00 Sundays.

I don't know if Eros is still doing this or not but I stopped going there a couple years ago when they give commission to taxi drivers if you come by taxi. It doesn't matter whether you already know how to get there but if you get out of the taxi they will quote you a higher price to cover the taxi commission. (3,000 colones extra)

When we found out about the taxi commission we start telling people to tell the taxi to drop you off in front of Tin Jo chinese restaurant, then after the taxi leaves we walk to Eros. If we going during the day time we just walk there instead of taking a taxi. Anybody knows if Eros is still doing this?

Eros may still be doing that, cause a couple months ago, on a Sunday night, a cabbie was reaaly trying to get me to go there instead of Le Grillon.
