Hey... Stymied has a point... if your 'attached' why go to an outside source?

I mean when I was attached years ago... every Sunday we would go do the laundry at local laundry mat and f**k like dogs in the washroom while clothes were in washer/dryer. Or when I had my van we would go out in the back of my van. I no longer have that option so now when I go to do laundry... while clothes are in dryer I go to MP just down the street and do 'my thing'. rotflmao.

Really though stymied... no matter if you are male or female... can you honestly say that when you were attached or if you still are (whatever) that sometimes your eyes do not 'wonder'. I'm not perfect myself.. but have very rarely 'cheated' when married(common-law) or other wise attached. But I sure looked a lot... and I know she did too. I think it's only natural. Then again... I have never been 'cut off' at home or by any SOs... if I was well maybe that would be different. As far as for reason as to why guys will carry past the 'looking' stage and complete the fantasy there are probley as many reasons as there are guys.

btw guys (since you all know how much of a crazed SC fan I am... going to SC is not cheating, lmao)

I just wanted to add my .02

For me (I'm not so bold as to speak for anyone else)...

it was the rush.

In that regard, I guess its no different from a narcotic or mood altering substance.

I loved the feeling of serenity I got when I decided to stop fighting myself and just GO, when I felt I needed to.

I loved the anticipation of not knowing wo I'd meet and what we'd do.

I loved the feeling I got when I was able to reduce a woman who didn't know me for more than 15 minutes into a moaning, quivering heap.

As a caveat to that last statement, this didn't always happen....but when it did it made me feel primal and manly in a way that it is not appropriate anymore to express in our society.

I loved the game, the thrust and parry (pun not intended), the little games we play to test the waters and see how far you could go, what you could get her to do.

I loved delaying the grand finale until it felt both heads were going to explode.

It's been over a year since my last visit.......mostly because budgetary constrictions do not allow me the luxury anymore.

But during that time, I've been able to recognize it for what it was. It was at first an ocassional substitute to fill a gaping hole in an uninspired sex life (not for the lack of trying) that quickly became an addiction.

I can't honestly say that I'll never do it again. I still get these overwhelming urges sometimes that send me running to the bathroom with a Playboy.

But I can say that I think monogamy is an unnatural condition for a man.

How can it be that we are hardwired by nature and millions of years of evolution to spread our seed as far and as wide as we can, yet be bound by the strictures of a morality code that asks us to deny our most basic, primal programming?

It seems like a bad joke.

There are probably some who fit your description, ie have someone that can provide the same services for free. But I would bet most don't fit that description, often because of a sex life with a S/O that has eroded over time. People have different sexual needs and drives. Personally I don't think it's the criteria for choosing your S/O. If an occassional visit to an MP fulfills sexual needs that can ultimately suppliment an otherwise healthy and happy relationship I think it can be a good thing. If the MP option was not available IMHO and experience, it can lead to more relationship tension and damage. My 2 cents worth.

Just when the board is getting boring a topic like this comes up and brings out the best and the worst of the massageplanet.netites.
There are some really good well reasoned responses here. It is clear that a number of us our questioning our addictions, while some are still just blinded by the addiction and not ready to admit the fraility.
Why did I start many years ago because I could. Why am I pushing myself away from the table now....also because I can. It no longer gives the same thrill, well okay, sometimes it does but not consistently enough to make it worthwhile to keep going.
I hate it when a habit gets control of me...and this became a habit that I need to exert some control over again!
So my answer Symied is that a need to "walk on the wild side" got me at a time when I had the ability (financial and time) to pursue it...now, changing times, changing values and perhaps changing habits!
