While I can appreciate value, I don't understand why someone needs to say whether the price is worth the service. Just state the facts and let each decide for himself whether the price is commensurate with the service.

What distinguished massageplanet.com from the "other boards" was its; a) willinginess to let members share information freely without frequent moderator interference, and b) connection to the blue collar/middle income members who sought dollar value rates that mirrored their income, unlike the "other boards." However, it appears that "the game" has changed unfortunately over the years largely in part to deflation. So, if a guy is willing to pay $400 for a R/T massage, sans any extras, that's his business, but spare the lumpenproletariat on this board the displeasure of reading such BS. Believe me when I say, a $400 massage is an anathema to a middle income wage earning monger. I had seen Bar back when she was living in the East Village. I have a thing for Israeli/Middle Eastern/Mediterranean women so that was right in my wheelhouse. Bar is attractive but you won't get more than a massage/bodyrub and it won't be topless or nude without a tip (and sometimes a substantial one at that).

The only thing I would say is that you should only really see her if you throw the idea of relative value out the window with other bodyrub providers and just pay the premium because you like that look.

I saw her once in the W. 40s about two years ago and haven't been back since.

You can get a really professional massage from a fully nude, licensed CMT with "manual release" (hj) for 180. Better deals are available. I made an appointment with Bar/Kelosun even after reading these reviews. I liked her looks.

She's an indie, working out of her apt in the West 40's. My experience is the same as everyone else.
Upon entry I was asked to remove my shoes and wash my hands. I'm cool with that.
Not a bad massage at all, but not certified (as she claims?). After the flip she asked if I wanted a release for an extra 100. I had already paid 200 for the hour. I was a gentleman throughout and I thought we got along well during the course of conversation. So I wasn't happy to have to add another 100 for a happy. I asked if the 100 included topless/nudity. No, that's another 100. What's going on these days?

Since I was there, and Bar is attractive, I gave her 100 for the happy.

Needless to say I won't be back.

When somebody tells you its a take it or leave situation and FOLLOWS THRU with it. Then it seems that she does get what she wants.....and not necessairily puts out. She may have some clients that just want to be in her presence.

VR, your economics make total sense. If she is doing this out of pure calculation vs. naivete...then she is indeed very smart. It's still hard to believe that she has a 50% redemption rate on her upsell. She didn't do anything to entice me....it was really a "take it or leave it" situation.

I would guess it's more like 25%....but you really never know. Good insight VR.

I'm sure. Assuming that half the customers say yes, she's way ahead of the game. That would make her average rate per session $300. At four sessions a day she's hitting $1200. She is pretty and has a pricing strategy that will likely maximize her income without risk of burnout.

If she were FS I'd take a trip into Manhattan and pay $600. If she were Mossad it'd be worth an extra $200 to fulfill a strange fantasy...part of which involves exchanging intimacies in Arabic.....

It's hard to believe that she can charge $400 for a nude HJ and actually get someone to pay...but you never know. She was very adamant about $200 for nude with NOTHING else. I told her that was a full service rate and it didn't matter at all. She actually thought she should be charging more for nudity. More power to her.....
