3Tees....you had me up until the "raid" or "bust" part....I have had many encounters with uniformed police visits...it wasnt a raid or bust...it was a police visit period! They check ID's of staff and customers. They check our licenses and the spa's license. They ask alot of questions. Most of which no one needs to answer. As long as everyone is polite, its generally a short visit, they wish us all a safe day, and off they go.

If something is amiss with licenses, they issue warnings or tickets. If a customer has warrents, ur ass goes to jail! If you are clean and law-abiding, they may ask you questions about us and our services (which you dont have to answer) but then they let you go.

Everything else you said was bang on!! Good work!

Nothing happened to danielchan but how do you know nothing happened at the Spa after he left??? What purpose does his post have??? If a place is getting heat then we want to know about it. If 3-4 people report cop cars outside of a spa on different days then we don't want to hang around there. It's actually very useful info. AGAIN, that is (WAS) the exact purpose of this board men exchanging info. Not MPAs posting fucking poems, (talk about useless info).




What useless thing am I assuming? That a cop car in front of a MP can be bad news? You are the one assuming when you tell the guy to relax. You are assuming that nothing happened after he left when you don't actually know and you are assuming that nothing will happen in the days to come.

Thanks! I learn something new every day. I was not familiar with this type of LE "visit". It seems to me though that the original post was about one of these LE-visits.

Unfortunately, for everyone - MPA's and clients - raids and busts do happen though, and they are not pleasant for anyone. Markham and more recently Danforth show this. I have hobbied in both areas extensively and when I hear of actions of this scale (i.e. targeted, swift, multiple raids with everyone getting charged) and when I see that they make the paper, they deter me.

It was not stated or was removed the area of this ordeal.. I will tell you now it could very well be LE but maybe not be for the Spa, There has been alot of survallence on industrial plazas lately for drug labs. I know for the most part Morality don't use mini vans, they use cars for the most part. CIB uses vans for video survallence...

Thanks! MPA^2 did point out benign LE visits which I was not really aware of and make sense, so I guess we could add-in a third type of visit.

Note to both parties though - didn't mean to step in the middle - just thought I would clarify. However, if I did a half-decent job here (which was not my intention), perhaps there are some threads in the politics section that could use my interventions as well.

There is alot more to it than that post!!! cops look for much more than 4 things. and it takes months of investigation to get to the raid/charges point. Moral of the story, dont jump to conclusions, cops are on our side for safety reasons, and if a place is shady it will eventually be looked into. But a cop car near an MP is nothing to freak out about. He could even be a client. You never know. Oh and dont believe the news/papers either!!

This one time I walked out of Body and Soul to be greeted by 4 cop cars. Kept walking to my car, officer calls me over, and starts with the usual questions.
